SPA POLICIES AND PROCEDURES


Reservations…

In order to reserve your appointment time and choice of therapist, we recommend making your spa & salon reservations at least one week in advance. A major credit card is required to guarantee your reservation. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate guests under 16 years of age.


Cancellations…

It is each guest's responsibility to notify Tropical Waters at least 24 hours in advance should you need to cancel or reschedule appointment. Cancellations made without the proper advance notifcation will be charged in full.


Before your treatment…

In order to provide a serene and tranquil atmosphere, we ask that you turn off your cell phone or pager while at the spa. Please allow at least one hour between your last meal and your treatment. Additionally, you should avoid the consumption of caffeinated or alcoholic beverages prior to any body treatment.

Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your treatment time to allow for checking in and changing. All guests receiving facial and body treatments are offered full use of our sanctuaries, which include Swiss Waterfall showers and steam rooms. Our soothing meditation room the Zen Room, is also at your disposal.


What to wear…..

Spa clients will be provided with a luxurious robe and slippers to wear during your visit to the spa. We will also provide a locker with a key to store your personal belongings however, we will not be held responsible for lost or stolen items. No additional clothing or towels are required and large gym bags are not permitted in the sanctuaries.

During your treatment, your body will be draped at all times except for the area being worked on. For Shiatsu massage we recommend that you wear loose or comfortable clothing such as a T-shirt and sweatpants. For Hydrotone therapies you will need a bathing suit or we will provide you with the proper disposable garments.


During your treatment…..

All of our technicians are professionally certified and/or licensed and wish to provide you with the best possible treatment. If you are uncomfortable with the treatment for any reason (music volume, depth of pressure, etc.) please let your technician know during the treatment. Please also advise your technician if you have any special physical or medical needs, conditions or considerations and any medications that you are currently taking. Keep in mind that many of our treatments are physical in nature and are meant to reduce stress, relieve tense or fatigued muscles, stimulate lymphatic drainage and/or exfoliate the skin. Some guests may experience a variety of symptoms after a treatment such as soreness, skin redness or minor bruising.
